Scardona Silva is organic family farm situated in the Prokljan village on the lake of Prokljan near city of Skradin and Krka river. The owner of the farm is mr. Ivan Beneta. Mr. Beneta and his employees are taking care of 24,2 ha of olive and almond orchard. The entire area is karst terrain, and everything has been prepared by karst melioration using heavy agricultural and construction machinery. At this time there are 4200 almond trees from 4 to 5 years old and 1000 olive trees 4 years old. There is also big water tank capacity of 800 kubic meters. The problem is that the water is salty and it is not usable for irrigation and fertigation. Also farmer owns two tractors, one of 42 HP and one of 95 HP, with all necessary attachments for tillage, for protection against diseases and pests and for harvesting. Also have one commercial vehicle that the employees are using.
