Shared Folders let you group reports and carbon footprints together and allows you to share these also with other users you trust so they can view and edit your reports. 

You may invite other Farm Carbon Calculator users who have their own account to become a member of the folder - landowners, colleagues, partners, friends, or consultants. To invite someone click ‘invite’ on the Shared Folder, or copy the URL.

These invited users request membership and you as admin can approve this. Make your approvals in the ‘Requests’ tab. Approved members then have access to be able to view, edit, copy, and create new reports in the folder - so make sure you only approve requests from those you know. 

You will see their username on their request and contact them to check this detail if you are unsure. Remember that you can lock reports on the report summary page to prevent further editing. If you experience any difficulty - contact us for assistance.

With care you can give other members admin permissions in the Shared Folder too, in which case these users can then invite and approve other members in the same way. Promote others in the ‘Membership’ tab. You may choose to do this with a trusted partner for example, or another user who has ownership of the same farm business data which is held in the reports in the folder.

If you as a user have oversight over many businesses - like our trusted consultants, food processors, or others - we might advise creating a shared folder for each company you work with, to enable you to share specific reports with the appropriate farmers, or colleagues.
